AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
On Saturday, September 19, Ukraine Front Line (UFL) discovered an administrative compliance issue relating to IRS 990 filings from a previous Board term. As a result of this issue, UFL’s federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status was revoked on May 15, 2026. It is important to note that this revocation was automatic and strictly administrative. It is not the result of any finding of financial misconduct, misuse of donor funds, or any problem with our work.
The revocation was posted to the IRS’s Auto-Revocation List on August 11, 2026. UFL has not yet received the IRS notification; we only found out through an email from YourCause that went to a spam folder.
The current Board did not create this issue. It was inherited from prior leadership and only became apparent when the current Board reviewed our compliance status following questions about YourCause donations.
Our priority now is to correct the situation responsibly, protect our donors, and ensure that we remain fully compliant going forward. We are seeking retroactive reinstatement, and have hired a professional to guide us through the process. It is expected to take 6-10 months.
Our president, Robin Rohrback, is paying the professional’s fees herself. Your donation money is meant to support Ukraine’s defenders, not correct a past Board’s mistake. We are taking steps to strengthen our compliance controls, including Board-level oversight of filings and consultation with an external compliance expert, so that this cannot happen again.
This does not mean that Ukraine Front Line is shutting down. Too many people rely on us; we cannot turn our backs on them. We are merely on hold while we resolve this problem and find the path forward. For the teams we support, existing operations and previously arranged assistance will continue wherever legally and financially possible. For donors, we will provide updates along the way, including the reinstatement status and guidance on tax implications for your 2026 filings.

Who We Are
Even with the massive outpouring of global support, Ukraine’s troops, military facilities, and medical outfits are short on vital supplies that make a huge difference to their day-to-day operations and survival. The big-name charities are doing good work there, but their logistics aren’t quick or nimble enough to respond to urgent requests for the little things that make big impacts: everything from hand warmers and portable water filters to tactical medicine supplies.
Our logistics are swift and agile. Our partner in Kyiv receives requests from the men and women on the ground and relays them to us. Your donation fulfills the requests, and our international volunteer network transports the materials straight to the requesters.
