Heroes need to eat, too

This post was written by our German operative, Arcaist.

All the equipment and goods provided by Ukraine Front Line and many other volunteer organizations, all the bravery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, can´t prevent one thing: soldiers get injured or even die, especially in madness like the Bakhmut meatgrinder.

Thankfully, some countries have agreed to take in injured Ukrainian soldiers for intensive treatment. For example, there are quite a few of these men being treated in the German city of Regensburg.

Lyudmyla and Julia, who regularly help Ukraine Front Line get goods to Ukraine, are also taking care of these men, e.g. helping with paperwork and translation where needed. All these men came close to paying the ultimate price for the defense of their country, and will be carry the scars and memories for the rest of their lives.

After surgery, the men stay in Germany for recovery and therapy before heading back to the front. Since most of them just sit in their rooms waiting for the time to pass, we wanted to do our part in making their recovery a little more pleasant. So we asked Lyudmyla and Julia if they would like to throw a pizza party for the guys, and oh boy … they did.

Bringing a smile to those men’s faces felt like the right thing to do. Judging by the pictures and the big THANK YOU they sent, that $200 was a solid investment.

All the best wishes to you. We wish you a quick recovery and thank you for your bravery!

Slava Ukraini!
