Ukraine Front Line, Inc. is proud to feature our Ukrainian partner Mykola Sokalskyi. Mykola, a Kyiv resident, is a prolific live streamer known around the internet as Jesterboyd.
Before the full-scale war, his streams served to introduce foreigners to Ukrainian art, music, protest culture, and daily life in Kyiv. His unique approach and open, friendly nature fostered in his viewers an emotional connection to Ukraine and created an international community of friends.
When Russia launched its senseless invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Mykola swiftly pivoted to providing material support to Ukraine’s army and allies. He established relationships with Ukrainian officials and, despite the risks inherent in being a public figure openly opposing a barbaric invading force, rallied the activists and volunteers in his Reddit, Discord, and jesterboyd.live communities. Under his guidance and leadership, an efficient international network now puts the lifesaving supplies soldiers ask for directly into the soldiers’ hands.
Under Mykola’s guidance and leadership, life-saving supplies have been procured and delivered directly to Ukrainian hospitals and troops.
Mykola sometimes travels the tumultuous roads of Ukraine himself to ensure the success of the supply drops, documenting the dangerous treks here. The importance of these deliveries cannot be overstated. In addition to saving the lives of Ukrainians and allies, this direct, tangible support from the international community provides an enormous boost to the troops’ morale.
